Located just over 700kms southeast of Perth, on the Bay of Isles, Kepa (water) Kurl (boomerang) is the Aboriginal name for the town of Esperance. It means..where the water lies like a boomerang. Renowned for its turquoise water, dramatic coastline and pure white sand. Kepa Kurl Esperance is one of Western Australia’s treasures.
Explore The Great Ocean Drive, this spectacular tourist loop stretches 38kms; allowing for a scenic tour of local highlights along the coastline. Outstanding stop off locations include the Rotary Lookout, West Beach, Blue Haven, Twilight Beach and Ten Mile Lagoon.
There are five national parks situated around Esperance. Each is unique, yet all share common elements, including the prestigious coastline, tranquil bush walks, and the beautiful surrounding fauna and flora. Located 48km from the centre of Esperance is Cape Le Grand National Park with its massive granite peaks and where the friendly kangaroos at Lucky Bay can be seen lazing on the luminescent beaches.

MIDDLE ISLAND
Esperance’s Pink Lake (in town) unfortunately isn't as pink as it used to be. These days it's more of a 'blush', however, the other pink lake is Lake Hillier, Middle Island. Visit Middle Island by helicopter with the amazing Helispirit Scenic Flights.

Explore our region with your 4WD. Wylie Bay (beach access) is 5 minutes down the road from ECV. Get into 4WD mode and hit the sand (make sure to check tides). The spectacular drive stretches all the way to Cape Le Grand, beach fishing, swimming and surf spots along the way including local break Kelp Beds.
